git-remote-hg software package provides bidirectional bridge between Git and Mercurial, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install git-remote-hg
git-remote-hg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the git-remote-hg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git-remote-hg *
You will get with git-remote-hg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
